Manchester TukTuk is a family run business based between Bolton and Wigan, operating a lovely white Piaggio Ape Calessino 200cc for Weddings and Private Hire. We love to help you plan your big day and we can decorate our TukTuk to suit your colour scheme too.
We cover a wide range of areas in the North-West from our base in Bolton. Areas include (but not limited to) Manchester, Salford, Chorley, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan, Warrington, Leigh, Stockport, Darwen, Westhoughton, Atherton and many more. Our TukTuk is a three wheeled motorised vehicle, most often associated in Asian countries and sometimes referred to as a Rickshaw, but you’ll find all kinds of nicknames for these vehicles across the globe. Our Piaggio Ape Calessino 200cc is all in white, but we can add flowers and ribbons, or even attach signage to make us fit in with your event. We can take 2 passengers comfortably seated in the back as our TukTuk is equipped with cushioned seats and we have either a fold down roof or a removable cover to adapt to all conditions. You can travel in style with your own playlist on our bluetooth enables stereo system and our amazing (but optional!) LED multicoloured internal lighting system, lighting up the road.
We work across the North West of England and we typically restrict our bookings to an approximate 30 miles radius of Bolton and Wigan. See the map here for our estimated area of coverage, including the pricing bands.
The prices estimated in our standard packages are more likely to be valid within the first circle, which shows a 10 mile radius of TukTuk HQ. As a rough guideline we usually charge a minimum of £25 extra for the second circle, and £50 on the basic cost for locations in the outer circle. For a quote outside the area on our coverage map, contact us directly so we can discuss your options.
Please contact us with your dates via email and we’ll reply usually within 3 days to confirm if we have availability on your chosen day. For your reference, our wedding season runs from April to September and we have good availability for daytime bookings Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday for 2019. We do consider weddings and events on other days too so let us know how we can help and we’ll quote you accordingly.
We recommend that you check our Packages page to see the typical Wedding bookings and starting prices which we can offer. We make sure to quote every booking separately having checked all the location details and timelines but these are a good place to start if you just need an estimate. All the prices quoted are fully inclusive of the driver and personalisation of the TukTuk for your day.
Please drop us an email with your requirements to we can confirm our availability and pricing for your event. Once we’ve got the details agreed, to finalise your quote with us we’ll simply need you to fill in and sign our booking form which will confirm in writing your requirements, location and our final quoted fee. As part of that form you will also agree to our simple terms and conditions, and then you’ll just need to send us your deposit of 25% to lock in your date. We will later require payment in advance for the full amount before the event date, usually no later than 1 month before.
We ask for payment electronically to be made into our bank account, or you can send us a cheque in the post. We’re afraid at this time we’re not yet able to take credit card payments directly, but this will be rectified very shortly.
Of course! We have insurance to allow us to take wedding guests and the bridal party on short trips around the pre booked location. For non wedding bookings we can extend our insurance coverage to allow for pre booked events, however this may incur a small additional admin fee of around £30-£40.
The TukTuk is of course a little exposed to the elements (which is half the fun!), but we can operate in rain or shine. We have custom made detachable rain covers/windows which can be attached to make your trip in poor weather a little less damp. Should you wish to cancel due to inclement weather, we will have to apply our cancellation policy below.

We have loved being a part of lots of special days and also some corporate events over the last year or so. You can see images from those events in our Gallery, and we have a handful of testimonials from some of our happy customers as well as feedback on our Facebook page.
We will consider all kinds of bookings alongside weddings, just get in touch for a quote if you’re interested in using us. We have taken a teddy bear on a charity road trip, escorted the harvest princess to the local fayre, surprised a birthday girl with bubbly and we have done corporate events either operating as a fun photo opportunity or shuttling guests between locations during a conference. If we are doing a non wedding hire which will involve guest rides we will simply have to add on the extra cost of our insurance for the event to the normal package prices.
